Does It Really Work

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® uses a series of clear, plastic aligners to straighten teeth. In order for your teeth to move from being crooked to straight, pressure must be applied to specific teeth in order to achieve your perfectly straight smile. With traditional braces, this pressure is applied to move teeth by using metal brackets and wires that are threaded using different thicknesses depending on how far the teeth need to be adjusted.

Invisalign® Braces vs Traditional Braces

Another orthodontic option for you is Invisalign® instead of traditional braces. Whether you choose traditional braces or Invisalign®, both solutions do an excellent job. The right choice for you comes down to convenience and what you feel is best for your needs. Call the Dental Wellness Center of Florida at either of our locations in Brandon or Plant City FL to schedule your free consultation to find out if Invisalign® is the perfect braces solution for you.

If you are wanting to improve the look of your smile and
are in need of braces, you should consider Invisalign® as an option for you. Invisalign® offers more flexibility throughout the orthodontic process, and could be your perfect solution. Call one of our offices today and schedule your consultation to find out if Invisalign® is right for you. We look forward to helping you achieve the smile you always wanted!

  1. HOW IT WORKS - Invisalign® is a series of clear aligner trays that cover the teeth, similar to a retainer or mouth guard, but are much more discreet. At least every two weeks or so, the patient will switch to the next set in the series of Invisalign® trays. With the custom aligners for each patient, Invisalign® will gradually push the teeth into the right position without causing significant amounts of pain.
  2. THE PROCESS - The process begins with a consultation and exam. The purpose of the exam is to review the patient's medical history and current state of health, as well as go over any medications they are taking. Then a mold of the teeth is taken, along with the necessary fittings and measurements. Once all of this information has been gathered, we will send it to the lab to create the Invisalign® trays. After the trays have been customized at the lab, a fitting appointment will be scheduled to make sure the trays do not need any final adjustments before beginning the Invisalign® treatments. Before concluding the fitting appointment, our staff will make sure that you understand how the Invisalign® straightening process works, and how often the trays need to be worn. A follow up appointment will be scheduled to check the progress of the Invisalign® treatments.
