  1. TEMPORARY DENTURES -  The Dental Wellness Center of Florida can provide patients with temporary dentures while they are undergoing a cosmetic dentistry procedure to replace a missing tooth. Temporary dentures provide patients with a natural looking smile while they are waiting for their dental implants or dental bridge procedures to be completed. This option is an excellent one for patients that have a tooth that has been knocked out during a sporting event for an unexpected accident. The temporary denture acts like a retainer that has the replacement tooth attached to a molded device, and it is to be taken out when eating. This is designed to be a temporary solution and is expected to be worn for a few months.
  2.  PARTIAL DENTURES - The first couple of days after the procedure, your face will be swollen. This is normal and should be expected, and it will only last for a few days. We also provide you with a temporary and durable replacement tooth denture to wear while you are waiting for the crown to be attached. After the implant and your jawbone have fused together, your jaw will provide a base support for your replacement tooth to be placed. Your new replacement tooth will be as strong as your natural tooth would be. You may feel some slight sensitivity in your gums, but this will be minor and easy to control with over the counter pain relief medication. To learn more about post-op care for dental implants, call the Dental Wellness Center of Florida office and schedule an appointment so that all of your questions and concerns can be answered and you will be confident in your decision to get started on your smile restoration.
  3. COMPLETE DENTURES - A complete denture set is necessary when all of your teeth are missing. Call and schedule your consultation with the Dental Wellness Center of Florida, so that our dentists can evaluate your oral health and provide you with the best solutions available to achieve your goals. If a complete set of dentures is the solution for you, and you have to have teeth removed in order for this to happen, your gums should be healed and ready in about 8-12 weeks after all of your teeth have been removed. The reason we recommend waiting 8-12 weeks after removing all teeth, is because your bones and gums start to shrink, and we want to make sure that your complete set of replacement teeth will fit you perfectly and not need constant adjustments. You also have the option to get your replacement teeth immediately after removing all of your existing teeth; however, adjustments will be necessary due to the shrinking of your bones and gums not being given enough time to settle into their permanent size.
